so i was on the tram the other day and my girl spy’ed this chick with some frizzy ass hair that looked bizarely like Bubbles from The Wire.. it’s quite possible that Bubbles has a twin sister.. and if he does, shes a tram rider in Melbourne.. see for yourself..
i was doin at gig in moonee ponds on the weekend and rock legend Kram of Spiderbait fame was performing there also.. the turnout was pretty doo doo as the weather was worse than a fart in an elevator.
but weather aside and turn out aside, Kram let the crowd have it with both barrels! His rock god moves are a sight to behold.. peep the gems i got from my phone..
so i was doing a gig with Phrase yesterday and when it came time for us to setup our gear I asked the promoter if he had organized a table for me to set my turntables/mixer/laptop on. He said “sure we’ve got the table here, it’s just behind you over there”.. and here is the table that had got for me:
WOW.
Needless to say I had to get him to find another table.. but I did find it funny that he actually expected me to somehow fit 2 turntables, a mixer and my laptop on that midget table.
props to him and the rest of the frankston crew for hooking it all up though. had a fun time.
melbourne’s finest, DJ J-Red has put out a farkin masterpiece titled “The 500 (4 the 90’s) and its comprised of 500 of your favorite hip-hop joints from the 90’s all rolled into an hour n 6 minutes.. it’s farkin ludicrous! You can download it here:
dont you hate it when you go to a club and you hear the same song played over and over again? more often than not, the reason you hear the same song played more than once is because when a dj is coming to the end of his set, he doesnt tell the next DJ what he played.. so the new DJ just goes on his merry way playing “In Da Club” completely unaware that the DJ before him played it an hour ago…
well let me tell you this.. you wont be hearing Kanye West or Grand Master Flash playing anything that’s already been played - why’s that I hear you ask??
coz when i supported those guys on tour i got sent an email listing what I was “NOT” supposed to play before they went on.. i thought you might like to know what those songs were so I’ve uploaded them here:
awww man i pissed myself when i saw this.. that bell end AKA corey worthington got a kneecap to the face and some smart ass got it on his camera phone! Nice one mate!
if you ask me, corey deserved a kneecap to the face for wearing such gender questionable sunglasses!
well everyone is always yapping about how blogging is the future.. and i guess i tend to agree. im not going to blather on about anything in particular right now as i dont really have that much to say at this exact moment in time besides the fact that im busy as hell gearing up for the release of Phrase’s new album “CLOCKWORK” which is due out for release on April 24th. i just built a website for him and wacked it up online yesterday, check out my handy work - phrasemusic.com - its tops!
im still learnin how to use this thing so ill try and figure out how to post up a sample of the song for you to check out..
